0078.7 – Troubleshooting

Computer issues persist! The bright side is: things are working now.

I ended up salvaging the GPU from my desktop and hooking it up to an old laptop via external GPU adapter. It isn't pretty but it works.

Regular update next week! *knock on wood*

  1. That’s exactly where I stuck small tools when I was working on equipment in the Airforce.
Every time they called for a tool check I shook my head. 🙂

    1. Pencils, screwdrivers, chopsticks… a bun can hold all sorts of useful things!

  2. Magical spare 24 pin what is thy wisdom?

    1. In my situation I did have a spare 24 pin laying around. I had my old PSU (ATX) from my desktop but I had also bought a new PSU (SFX-L) for use with the eGPU adapter. I was testing each part independently as a part of the troubleshooting process and it resulted in quite the mess of cables.

      1. Just in case, PSUs do have a power on pin, make sure that it is enabled by the eGPU system or you in testing

And dont forget the switch on the backside, as one likes to do XD
